Matthew Alger  is an appellate law specialist certified by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.  He has a proven record of success in both personal injury and appeals. Mr. Alger has been an attorney for more than 30 years. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Alger worked as an insurance claims adjuster, where he learned how the insurance industry values personal injury cases. He has settled hundreds of personal injury cases and has been successful in jury trials. Mr. Alger also has handled hundreds of appeals with positive results.

Mr. Alger has obtained the reversal of judgments on appeal. One of those cases resulted in the revision of a standard jury instruction that is used in California State trial courts. Mr. Alger has represented clients before the California Court of Appeal, the California Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court.

Matthew Alger is admitted to practice before the California State courts, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Central districts of California. He is a member of the State Bar of California, and both the Los Angeles and Fresno County Bar Associations.

Mr. Alger is a 1987 graduate of the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, and a 1981 graduate of Fresno State University.
